Poster

Hi
I opened the screen door yesterday and my cat got out and has been missing since then so I was wondering if you are not to busy you could make a poster for me. It has to be A4 and I will photocopy it and put it around my suburb this afternoon.

This is the only photo of her I have she answers to the name Missy and is black and white and about 8 months old. missing on Harper street and my phone number.
Thanks Shan.

Dear Shannon,
That is shocking news.
Although I have two clients expecting completed work this afternoon, I will, of course, drop everything and do whatever it takes to facilitate the speedy return of Missy.

Regards, David.

Dear Shannon,

It's a design thing. The cat is lost in the negative space.

Dear Shannon,

Having worked with designers for a few years now, I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window. I have amended and attached the poster as per your instructions.
Regards, David.

This is worse than the other one. can you make it so it shows the whole photo of Missy and delete the stupid text that says missing missy off it? I just want it to say Lost.

yeah can you do the poster or not? I just want a photo and the word lost and the telephone number and when and where she was lost and her name. Not like a movie poster or anything stupid. I have to leave early today. If it was your cat I would help you. Thanks.

Dear Shannon,

I don't have a cat. I once agreed to look after a friend's cat for a week but after he dropped it off at my apartment and explained the concept of kitty litter. I have attached the amended version of your poster as per your detailed instructions.

Regards, David.

Thats not my cat. where did you get that picture from? That cat is orange. I gave you a photo of my cat.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.

Regards, David.

Marley has to go to the doctor

For more than two months, Marley is our sunshine raging about with his big brother Jack. Everyday he is more outgoing. Lately I discovered a small lump on his belly. My first thought was, "No, please not again." I was totally panicked and immediately had to scour the Internet. "Umbilical hernia" was the most plausible explanation. He should be castrated anyway in a few days and the opening is very small that’s why I waited until appointment.

After a short examination at the vet, the diagnosis was clear Marley must be operated. I was worried and didn’t want to lose him. But the doctor gave me to understand that this is a routine procedure. I was still nervous ... The operation went well and Marley doing well. For cat owners who have never heard of a hernia, here are some details:

What is an umbilical hernia?

In a so-called umbilical hernia there is an incomplete closure of the abdominal wall in the umbilical region. Depending on the size of the gap there is the urgency of surgery.

How is this treated?

If the hernial wide there is a risk that the intestine and parts slip through. This is an absolute emergency, and only immediate surgery can save the life of the animal. In many cases, the hernia sac is filled with fat and small, noticeably larger than fingertip nub at the belly button. In that case, the animal must be monitored for any change to this nub out carefully. A surgical closure can usually wait until the animal is castrated to avoid an additional burden anaesthesia.

Discuss it again with your veterinarian, who can assess the urgency of surgery after an investigation.

Welcom Marley

Deutsche Version: http://saraliciousworld.blogspot.ch/2012/11/welcom-marley.html#more

Dear All

We are very pleased that we have found a new mate for Jack. His name is Marley and we have. We have visited a group of four young cats. One was so cuddly that it was annoying the second was very active but it was not the right one. Another cat has hissed at me only when I looked at him. Marley was our favourite. He's really shy, but we wanted to take the opportunity to do something good. So we took Marley to us.

He has always hidden behind washer / dryer, which I found to dangerous because if something happens I would have no chance to help him. That’s why we did some stuff in front that he could no longer hid there. But he quickly found a new hiding place underneath of the sofa. The first morning I saw him in the bathroom. I stroked him gently with a toy and he began to purr. So I went slowly with my hand to him and he let my stroke him. I was so happy because the care agency sad to me that it would take very long. Wow, it was an incredible moment. Jack is already his big brother and also with Leo he has already a good relationship.

I can say that Marley is getting more courageous. I look forward to the moment when he has no fear!
