Sara what are you blogging

Sara what are you blogging

If I look at the different blogs and believe me I do that quite often I must say my blog is a little bit chaotic. But a blog should be like the person shouldn’t it? That’s why I want to present all the different topics that are on my mind and what I want to show you. This is sometimes very personal sometimes just a random thing. Until now I am blogging for about 4 months and I like it. I am trying to edit one post a week at least. But I know to be more successful I have to invest more time!

The reason why I started blogging is I am a huge technic fan and like to read post from other people. I think I have some interesting things to tell you so that’s why I started it. Another thing I want to start is doing videos. Like vlogs, tutorials, cooking videos and so on. I started with it already but as I watched it again I deleted it… It was too bad for my opinion. I know many of other youtubers started with a bad camera and bad light bud I don’t like to watch this videos that’s why I have to save my money for videos, video programs, lighting and so on. But I will definitely start this year with this project! (New year’s resolution haha)

I hope you like the way I write. It’s not perfect I’m not perfect ether. I would do a HARLEM SHAKE if you follow my blog or leave me a comment that would make my day!

Lots of Love Saralicious.

A Romantic night out?

I was very excited to visit another great place from Switzerland. We went to Säntis a huge mountain in Appenzell for an evening event. The event is called full moon dinner, because the mountain is so high you can see the moon even clearer and closer than ever and you have a dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately it was very cloudy that the view was so bad we didn’t even see the moon at all. But that was just bad luck.

The cost for this are quite high. Two tickets incl. dinner were CHF 165.- (almost the same in dollar). This includes the transportation from the base station to the gipfel and the dinner.
Hmmm… The journey it selve started not god. At the station they told us that our reservation is canceled… But we haven’t cancelled it so it must be a missounderstanding. At the top we had the same discussion again. Very unorganized that’s not typical for Switerland. But finally we were sitted.
The Dinner it selfe was nothing special at all. You had a buffed for salad, main courses and dessert. Everythin self service. I’m not a massiv fan of buffed and this one was no mind changer. The quality of the food was ok but almost everything was very unhealthy and nothing special at all. That’s apitty you could do so much more with a location like this.
Locationwise how can I say it in a nice way… you feel back in the 80’s. I think if you would change just little thinks like having special decoration (and not a lamminiertes papier with sentences on it) and probably somebody who tells you more about full moon and the special thing about it the event would be super cool. Now it’s just ok but you don’t want to go again. The waitress there were also very unfriendly. You had to stop somebody if you wanted to order some drinks. Hellooo???? All in all I was not feeling welcome at all and just like a Massenabfertigung…

I’m sorry to say so many bad things about this evening but we were so excited and now it’s just like a waste of time and money…

The säntis is a very nice place to visite. Go at a day time when the weather is nice and eat before you go up.

Pancakes Day is better than Valentine's Day

Hey Everyone
I've never understood the meaning of Valentine's Day. I mean you think of the person you love anyhow and want to make him happy? Do you really need a fixed day for it? I don’t think so! In my opinion it’s just for the money! Because of this fact I was very surprised that almost everybody asks my want we have planned for today. My answer: I don’t celebrate Valentine's Day only Pancakes day! I love confused people.

Why?? My friend and I were single and not happy with it. Especially in winter when it’s cold outside you want to spend your time with someone special! The Valentine's Day has never been something special for me but this time my mood gets even worse. My friend saved me! How? Quite simple: She just liked this Facebook page: Fuck Valentine’s day on the 14th it's pancakes day on the 16th! Awesome!!!

A few months later I met my boyfriend. As Valentine's Day approached I told him about the experience. He liked this idea and we decided to eat pancakes for breakfast on pancakes day. I think it's a nice tradition! It is something that belongs only to us and the others could buy roses…

Dear Shannon,

Having worked with designers for a few years now, I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window. I have amended and attached the poster as per your instructions.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.

Blind Cow in Zurich

Who has not played the game when he was little? A cloth tied around so that you re not able to see nothing and then walking around guided by a friend. How it is to be blind? Once I did not see I was totally awkward and clumsy. So what I wanted to experience again and I have it!

Months ago, I booked a table at the Blind Cow in Zurich, a restaurant in which we are led by blind or visually impaired people to his table because the room has no light. Wow sounds exciting, and that's it. The reception area is illuminated that you can choose the menu. I noticed my menu because is ordered in the dark. Bags, mobile phones and watches were locked in that the room is completely dark.

Before the black curtain opened we waited nervously for our waitress Elizabeth. When she came to pick us up we arrived in a dark room and then we went in goose step into the restaurant. It was completely dark! You can’t see anything at all. Elisabeth led us to our table and reliably recorded the order. We sat there listened to the chatter in the restaurant. It seemed a lot louder than usual in a restaurants but I think that's because you are otherwise able to focus better, so we were delivered almost helpless to the noise. As our drinks arrived I was thinking: don’t splash it all over you face Sara!

The next challenge came immediately with the starters. Oh god how many times I had an empty fork in my mouth. And as no one could see what you are doing I have nimble fingers scanned the plates to see if there is some hidden salad otherwise had no chance. The main course smelled sooo tempting but cut meat without seeing anything? Challenge accepted!  Clever as I am now time * cough * I just speared the whole piece of meat and eat it slowly. It was absolutely Yum!

Fazid:
Blind people can’t see in the dark even if it seems like that

Prepare topics for your conversation

Styling isn’t important, nobody can see you!

Trust your waitress, she knows it best

At this point I would like to thank Elizabeth for the great evening.  She has probably the sweetest voice I've heard in a while!

Masoala Rainforest in Zurich

THE MASOALA RAINFOREST AT ZURICH ZOO
Over the holidays, I took the time and went to the Masoala rainforest at the Zurich Zoo. It is a real rainforest in our cold country Switzerland. You can discover tropical plants and animals. Although I visited this place already many years ago I was still amazed of how beautiful it is. It is suitable as a visit with children as well as a couple. For those who do not know about the rain forest here are some information:

The Masoala Rainforest is the centrepiece of the zoo’s nature conservation strategy. In the Masoala Rainforest, you can find out about why the forests are disappearing as well as learn about projects with the aim of conserving the forests. The Masoala Rainforest at the zoo attracts donations providing one third of long-term funding needed to conserve the Masoala National Park. Promoting sustainable tourism also brings money to this region and provides the national park with economic benefits. Modest development schemes for neighbouring villages are also an essential part of the project supported by the Wildlife Conservation Society and Madagascar National Park Authority ANGAP. Local villages also accept responsibility and are integrated into the park scheme.

Marley has to go to the doctor

For more than two months, Marley is our sunshine raging about with his big brother Jack. Everyday he is more outgoing. Lately I discovered a small lump on his belly. My first thought was, "No, please not again." I was totally panicked and immediately had to scour the Internet. "Umbilical hernia" was the most plausible explanation. He should be castrated anyway in a few days and the opening is very small that’s why I waited until appointment.

After a short examination at the vet, the diagnosis was clear Marley must be operated. I was worried and didn’t want to lose him. But the doctor gave me to understand that this is a routine procedure. I was still nervous ... The operation went well and Marley doing well. For cat owners who have never heard of a hernia, here are some details:

What is an umbilical hernia?

In a so-called umbilical hernia there is an incomplete closure of the abdominal wall in the umbilical region. Depending on the size of the gap there is the urgency of surgery.

How is this treated?

If the hernial wide there is a risk that the intestine and parts slip through. This is an absolute emergency, and only immediate surgery can save the life of the animal. In many cases, the hernia sac is filled with fat and small, noticeably larger than fingertip nub at the belly button. In that case, the animal must be monitored for any change to this nub out carefully. A surgical closure can usually wait until the animal is castrated to avoid an additional burden anaesthesia.

Discuss it again with your veterinarian, who can assess the urgency of surgery after an investigation.

My Year 2012 July - September

Jul:
Our trip to Russia and Mongolia started. We planed this trip for such a long time and finally we were leaving. So we started our trip in Moscow were we stayed for a few days. After that we went to Ulan Batar (Mongolia) and it was very shocking if you see the differenz between Moskow and Ulan Batar. Then we took the train to Ulan Ude were we also stayed for just 3 days. Next stop was Irkutsk. OMG I just love Irkutsk for beeing a very open minded and beautyfull city. And of corse we had to visite Lake Baikal. WOW its just an incredibal lake with a lot of energy in it.

Aug:
There was nothing special in August at all.

Sept:
Again a trip :) This time --> Madrid. The first and second day was very cool but then I got fever! Its just the worstest thing when you are away and are sick!
I was sick for the whole month! I had a pneumonia and I can tell you that it's just hell. But I had a lot of time to think about just everthing. It was my most creativ time this year. Even if I wasn't able to do anithing I planed a lot:
- Starting P90X
- Paint some walls
- Start a Pixiwoo course next year (Wuhu October 13!!!)
So I can tell you if you are sick its not always a bad thing :)

My Year 2012 April - June

Apr:
This month wasn't good at all. I didn't feel comfortable at all. I was feeling that nobody really likes me and it made me sad... :(

May:
On the 3 May was my 25 birthday and a didn't expect anything at all! But I got the best surprise Party in the world!!!

Jun:
We planned it for a long time and it’s finally here our two little baby cats! OMG they are just adorable. I just loved them!!

My Year 2012 Jan - Mar

Its over and it all starts again :)

What a year!!!

So my year 2012 was pretty exciting.

Jan:
My Boyfriend and I decided to live together. So let’s start to  search for a flat. He also got a new job he started in April.

Feb:
Wuhu we got the best flat ever and also had to say good bye to our old flats. We moved in on 29 February. It was a stressful time because we had just a ton of stuff.

My old flat

Mar:

Our new furnishing arrived. How exiting! It was so cool to see how the flat looks more beautiful every day. But the best about March is that me and my bf have 2 years anniversary! But not enough: we went to London actually to watch a football match but they changed the date so we just enjoyed London and went to Paris the city of Love. We had a great dinner at La Fontaine de Mars. Really good French food, just amazing. I have never been to Paris before. The Eiffel Tower is just a great building.

The Mother of P90X

German Version http://saraliciousworld.blogspot.ch/2012/12/tag-16-mother-of-p90x.html#more

Hey Everyone

The mother of P90X is back. Plyo X is a jump an high intensity training. Although I'm already in the third week of my trainings program I’m not able to make the bonus round ... It is even worse…

What is Plyo X?
Tony describes it simply: It is the X in P90X. It is extreme, intense and you will struggle. The warm-up is killing you already. But after all you will jump through the roof so go to your neighbor and apologize in advance for the noise.
The exercises are usually 30 seconds some of them are 1 minute and you have to repeat all of them. After a few times of warm up my favorite exercise begins: you take a chair (preferably a bar stool) and swings right and left leg about it. For the next minute you just think right leg, left leg – so funny.  After the first half the workout gets more intense, this was the point I had to stop in the first week. Your heart rate is very high and the sweat just flow! But keep always in mind: You can do anything for 30 seconds!

I wish I could say, oh Sara let it be for today. But my pride tells me: There are only 20 minutes, as well as a 5 minute cool-down so just a the quarter hour to survive! Fighting despite everything I have so far only managed 50 of 60 minutes. But you know what? It was really funny. Every week we have this challenge again.

LEO

Leo
29.03.2012 - 13.12.2012

With you it was love at first side. What I will never forget is the first night. Suddenly I heard a rustle and startled and what I saw I could not believe: a running plastic bag including Leo. I ran after him and took off the plastic bag and immediately went back to bed. The next day my boyfriend if he was dreaming or if there was a running plastic bag. I couldn’t stop laughing.

Leo always was the one that has not give a shit about dry food, he preferred.the delicious wet food from him and his brother. He was very cuddly and loved to sleep in our bed. Sometimes on Alex chest that he could hardly breathe ... He was also very playful! A real tiger hunt. All who came to us found that Leo is a super sweet cat. He was just a pot of gold.

Unfortunately, he had been ill with 6 months! I wished him all the best  ... But it should not be. Even for doctors, it was something new, that such a small innocent animal fell ill so strong! The last time we have so spoiled Leo, hi and there a cream to lick and of course sooo much love!

I was pleased to cuddle him until the last breath. We will never forget you and carry forever in our hearts! You're such a cool guy and I think your next life will be wonderful.

I Love You

P90X Day 20

Hey there

I had to get up early. I mean like super super early. 05:00 in the morning is not my time I can tell you but I had to reach my flight back to Switzerland. I have done the check in already the day before so I just had to go to the Airport. At 11 o clock I finally arrived in the office directly to work.

This week is special because it’s my first recovery week **wuup wuup** It all Starts with Core Synergistics! It's like the little sister of Plyo X or Kenpo X. Not that extreme but still very intense. From the fun factor it is like Kenpo X. As soon as you start it it’s over. But you feel very good after it and just want to do it all over again!

In London I couldn't follow the eating plan. I was feeling very tired from all this unhelthy food and was happy to eat the good stuff again.
